The problem with Man Mohan Singh are several:
1. He is merely an economist of mediocre caliber and more hyped than a real expert by Congress,US based Financial Institutions and MNCs who are big beneficiaries of fraudulent globalization going on around the world.
That is biggest reason for his blindness as he is doing little and basking in the false publicity made about him.This is also big reason for his all round failures as he is trying to just pass time putting artificial smiles and brave face.
I think a PM need not be economist at all.Instead he need to be man of masses, good in governance and in political science.He has to be a visionary.He is not a bureaucrat by any means.He is a leader.Argument of people that he is clean and an economist has no relevance to PM position.That is how he is harming national interest.By hanging on to PM post.
2.He has no control on his government .
3.A number of corrupt people are involved in political system at highest level making things unworkable for any honest person even trying to do something.Corruptio n in county has crossed all limits and made new peaks. There is no accountability with greed, loot and plunder the present mantra.
4.I am not able to understand who has given him target of 10% GDP growth rate? Why we need it? Can we achieve it year after year. Impossible.High growth rate brings lot of problems, India was never a banana republic needing neck break speed improvements:
Huge price rise in economy
Huge capital investment and asset renewal every year.
Unfair distribution of rising wealth making large numbers of poor and few rich
Huge pressure on environment including demand on energy and rise in carbon emissions
Human resource development takes long time and can't grow at rate we want GDP growth rate
India is having very less per capita land and half of this is unusable.India is having poor water supply arteries and depends on monsoon which is always erratic. Agriculture land is diminishing fast making rural people unemployed and moving to cities.Agriculture growth is sluggish with huge backlog in demand and supply
The high demand of energy by using private cars and air conditioners and high rise buildings just does not fit Indian picture with limited high quality coal deposits, very less hydrocarbon sources and mediocre hydel power potential. India is generating very less energy and with exponential demand growth due to reckless consumerism, we are heading for serious trouble and crisis.
In India after Man Mohan has taken over a plot of resident house for example in Panchkula near chandigarh has risen from Rs 18 lacs to Rs 3.6 crore or 20 times which means 250% per year.From 1988 the price rise in property is 200 times. This is phenomenal price rise in real estate and injurious to socitiy.Who are beneficiary of this?
One should not forget that high cost of land leads to business risks and costs and prices spiral up which further push real estate prices and we are getting into a spiral trap.People are selling agricultural land as returns there are much lower than selling and earning interest on new high land prices.
All the government institutions in India have stopped functioning in their designated roles.Government has withdrawn from every where and field has been opened to greedy and corrupt businessmen and contractors to loot the economy in connivance with babudom.
How schemes like NREGA are wasting money with 50% almost being siphoned off in fake names.This puts pressure on Fiscal deficit further increasing taxes and price rise.
It is surprising that despite knowing all these things Man Mohan and his team are feigning ignorance, make soothing statements before public as lip service and are arrogant enough not to reverse current faulty policies.
For third rate countries like India a continuous 6 % growth rate is ideal without creating many problems we are facing now.
If India changes its rent control laws and empowers landlords,a large chunk of unused property can come in cheap rent market and there is no need to make new huge colonies far from cities consuming electricity and fuels.Over indulgence and extravaganza going on in country is main cause of inflation everywhere.
It is amazing government is complete failure in recognising this fact.
We have done little to improve energy generation system and rapid mass transport systems. Imagine every home using separate water pumps, generating sets and private cars thus working at lower efficiency and blocking lacs of crores of money in these assets from which much cheaper and larger common facilities could be created.
It is criminal act of negligence of our governments to ignore these basic points, ignore need for reducing cost and low cost quality education and healthcare in the country and improve sanitation.
Man Mohna government is all cheers by getting 70000 crores from 2g and 3g licenses foregttign that this money is not coming from tubewells or from USA , but from companies in telecom who will pass it on to consumers.Thus thsi money is nothing but indirectly taxation increase in country.Every week a new step is being taken to boost prices further in economy.
We don't need luxury cars, lightning malls and jet flying.We need social,services, basic infrastructure ,employment, elimination of corruption and focus on agriculture. We have to focus on water conservation as India is heading for severe water crisis the way we are engaged in over indulgence and wastage of water.
reckless bankingn system has nbee ncreated incountry with large expoansion of money supply and its cost.This has led to huge price rise and conusmerism. We are blindly following US life style without looking at income side too.
India is a country of 120 crores and not like USA which has 1/3rd population and 3 times more land.
We are virtually zero in technology and R&D.
Indian judciary is one of the most corrupt,ineffcient and unaccountable system in the woirld.They have no targets, no benchmarks and no accountbility to citizens.Judges get transferred in 1 or 2 years hence they have no accoutablity on dispsal of cases and case files keep rotting in courts.We call them honourable what is their conduct? Knowingly judcla systems are not being reformed and judiciary is not being expanded to let criminals roam free for decades.Finallt they are acuitted anyway.How such country can claim to be a super power. We are super beggars and super corrupt.
To talk of India becoming super power is biggest lie and misleading Indian masses.It is a sick joke! very soon we will depend on seeds also on USA.
It is time either Man Mohan Singh government change its style and goals or just get the hell out to make room for better people to govern( actually serve)the country.
Pressntly we see British Raj reviving in India in diffrent format this time via USA.
Property price rise and commodity price rise, corruption price rise and unemployment rise are not parameters of growth and development.
Life has become miserable for average Indian.Forget about those below the average and uneducated ( 50%).
